Why did the duck cross the road? It’s not crossing the road. It’s standing in it to protest the lack of transgender bathrooms (for ducks) in Northeast Portland.

Here’s the latest from Stumptown: bone broth made from exotic animals. The seasonal one at a “broth bar” in town is made from alpaca. Alpaca bone broth. What’s on next month’s special tap? Antelope? The stuff is supposed to be good for your joints, and if you want to drop some pounds. Sorry about the photo of David Bowie above. He looks a little like an alpaca, at least.

Is this place pronounced GrAAAAAAAAUUUS, or something like that? Or is this a pointless, Häagen-Dazs-type umlaut that’s really just for marketing?

I wonder if there is a non-profit that makes sure our animal statues feel loved at the holidays. Someone is on it, clearly.

This guy is just cool. He’s a Linux engineer, and he made almost every piece of clothing on his body, including this incredible coat. The shirt is made, in part, from curtain fabric. The dude can weld, sew, and run power around his body without electrocuting himself. Pretty good. More on him here.

Fifty bucks says the paint store called this color “Weathered Bismol.” Perfect for a statue rescue operation. Ferrets around back (see below)!

I wonder if the chickens stay on top of the bus on the Interstate, and I bet one is named “Star Dancer.”
